Position: Project Engineer

Wage: $50,000/yr DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to provide support and assistance to the Director of
Preconstruction and Project Managers.
● The Project Engineer helps support the project schedule by maintaining
communications and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure required
submittals, materials, RFI's change orders and other documentation/ reports are
completed accurately in a timely manner.
● The Project Engineer supports project bidding process by developing RFP lists,
compiling subcontractor questions during the bidding process and helping them get
the required answers, obtaining subcontractor and material pricing, and daily
dialogue with subcontractors and vendors to ensure that adequate pricing coverage
is obtained for bid day.
● The Project Engineer is a member of the project team and will be led by the
Director of Preconstruction and must have good personal management skills to
compile the directions given and have common sense to prioritize the tasks to
complete them in a timely manner.
● Professionally represent PNCI and support company strategic initiatives.
● Establish and foster positive long-term relationships with business partners.
● Study and understand project drawings, specifications, subcontract agreements and
purchase orders.
● Solicit, review and expedite submittals.
● Create material delivery schedules; track and expedite to support the schedule.
● Assist with review and expedite RFI's for approval and processing.
● Assist with the change management process; review changes, obtain pricing and
gain approvals.
● Understand and support jobsite safety requirements.
● Understand and implement the Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Programs.
● Assist with management the overall site safety program as required and ensuring
subcontractor compliance with PNCI standards and all applicable safety codes and
regulations.
● Prepare as- built drawings and specifications and keep them up-to-date.
● Assist with field management.
● Assist with job set-up, project meetings, safety, record-keeping and quality control.
● Assist with closeout as needed.
● Perform other duties as needed.
● Attend mandatory, monthly, company wide safety meetings.
